This guide is general information, not medical advice. Always confirm current requirements with your GP, a travel clinic, or the official Saudi authorities before you travel — rules can change.
Saudi Arabia requires all Umrah and Hajj pilgrims to have a valid quadrivalent meningococcal (ACWY) vaccine. The certificate must be issued at least 10 days before arrival and is valid for several years (check the validity of your specific vaccine type). Carry the certificate with you — it may be checked on arrival.
Pilgrims with diabetes, heart conditions, or limited mobility can absolutely perform Umrah with the right preparation. Choose a Haram-close hotel to minimise walking, ask us about wheelchair assistance, and consider travelling outside the busiest seasons. Our team is happy to advise on the most comfortable arrangements.
Don’t forget comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical treatment abroad. Once your health prep is sorted, see our packing list and step-by-step Umrah guide.
